With Debt can the debt collectors trace people if the debts from the uk and someone moves abroad?

They can but unless you owe them a great deal of money, they won't. If they did track you down there is nothing they can legally do to make you pay. and since your debt has gone to a collector, the bank has already written it off as a bad debt. The collection agency is paid a % of whatever money they retrieve. and they are limited as to what methods they can use to collect it. They may be able to get your address, and send you letters saying they can sue you, and any other thing that they think will scare you into paying it. BUT collection agencies will only spend a certain amount of time trying to collect. and won't spend money to try and find you and collect it.
